The Lusk group investigates emergent phenomena associated with quantum transport through nanostructured assemblies. Because this often involves opto-electronic processes, team members develop a thorough understanding of photon interactions with condensed matter and the dynamical processes that ensue. We draw on quantum many-body theory to study both coherent and incoherent dynamics and so frequently confront issues associated with entanglement, dephasing, and topological disorder. Our approach tends to emphasize computational methods of inquiry, and we typically work in close collaboration with experimental colleagues.
